Meet Your TrainersLeslie Dawson, MS, ATCLeslie joins the team at LifeBridge Sports Medicine after working 10 years as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), and two years in medical device sales. She has worked with athletes ranging from middle school through professional sports. As an ATC, Leslie was responsible for the evaluation and rehabilitation of sports injuries, but most importantly for the prevention of these injuries. Leslie worked as an ATC with the NBA’s Washington Wizards and NHL’s Washington Capitals, as well as with many NBA players for charity events and youth camps. Leslie was also the Head Athletic Trainer for Villa Julie College until 2005. Currently, Leslie is the Head Athletic Trainer for Crystal Palace USA, Baltimore’s USL-2 professional soccer team. As the Sports Medicine Coordinator for LifeBridge Health, Leslie will be working with the Sports Medicine Director enhancing Performance Edge, as well as developing coach’s clinics and educational programs for parents. She will also be working with other ATCs in area high schools. Finally, Leslie will be out in the area, marketing LifeBridge Sports Medicine, including Performance Edge, to area coaches, athletic directors, and recreation leagues. Leslie earned her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas-Pan American and her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. |
